i am a greek-american…will i go to hell for having a replica of Venus De Milo in my garden?

im not being sarcastic…i am 100 percent worried about this.

I am an american evangelical of Greek background. i am proud of my greek heritage and i have a replica of the famous greek statue "venus de milo" in my yard. the statue portrays the greek goddess aphrodite which was worshipped by the ancient greeks.

i do not worship aphrodite, i worship the Father, Son and Holy ghost. But i read this in the Bible:

Deut 7:26-NEITHER SHALT THOU BRING AN ABOMINATION INTO THINE HOUSE, LEST THOU BE A CURSED THING LIKE IT: BUT THOU SHALT UTTERLY DETEST IT, AND THOU SHALT UTTERLY ABHOR IT; FOR IT IS A CURSED THING.

Deut 27:15-CURSED BE THE MAN THAT MAKETH ANY GRAVEN OR MOLTEN IMAGE, AN ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD, THE WORK OF THE HANDS OF THE CRAFTSMAN, AND PUTTETH IT IN A SECRET PLACE: AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL ANSWER AND SAY, AMEN.

so does this mean that i am cursed for having a replica of a pagan idol in my yard and does this also mean that the people at the garden decor company who made the replica are destined for Hell?

i am hoping this is not true. i do not worship the greek statues…i just think they are of artistic value and good craftsmanship and i am proud of my ethnic heritage.

I have a garden too and I love statues but it is good to choose them carefully.Even though you might not look at it as worship can you really explain to someone else that it is not.We would not want to stumble anyone.(Matthew 18:6) But whoever stumbles one of these little ones who put faith in me, it is more beneficial for him to have hung around his neck a millstone such as is turned by an ass and to be sunk in the wide, open sea.

If your conscience is beating you then it is trying to tell you something.Listen to it.
What does the Bible really teach?Take your stand for true worship.

If you can put that in your garden, Catholics should be able to decorate their churches with statues of Mary and the Saints.

I think you are entering into a new world. Can you have a statue with out worshipping the figure its dipicting? I say its completely acceptable.
