Actually the company that designed this fountain is american not japanese. It was done by WET design the same company that did the bellagio fountains in Las Vegas.
I really enjoyed seeing it I have built around13 fountains in my work but non of mine were like that. The valves must take a lot of maintenance.For them to open an shut so quickly, if I understand how it works it is a very high maintenance item . Like my old boss always said all it takes is money.
